I say: why choose?? Do 'em both, you crazy kid! Pregnancy will score you lots of sympathy points with your grad school professors, potentially earning you easy As. Grad school will secure your future fortune, to support you and your lovechild. YOu can't lose!
Hm. I would say (a) get another puppy and (b) have Mr. Pants create a laundry list of books to read and papers to write with no specific directions and no discernible action plan, just a general deadline at some point in the distant future. Under these conditions, you will (1) not be bored and (2) still have money for shoeeeeeeeeesss!
Also, let me just say from personal experience that I wish someone had said to me "consider that you are taking up to 7 years out of your career path/earning potential to pursue something with no guaranteed return" BEFORE committing. Because knowing is half the battle.
